Hi Ed,
I’m wondering whether you know anything about the land and woodland around Ardrishaig. I’d like to start a discussion within the Community Council about the maintenance and usage of, first, Robbers’ Den (owned by Ardrishaig Community Trust), and the woodland in the King George V park (in A&BC ownership). Subsequent to that, it might be that there is more that could be done in terms of community ownership and so on, but that’s probably best left for another day. I’d appreciate a conversation in the first place, if you have time.
In a year’s time we’re taking our farm near Tayvallich back in hand and we’re looking at various nature-friendly (and human-friendly) options for the land. So many different ideas, techniques and philosophies to learn about. It would be very interesting to visit Ron Mara – would that be possible?
